Contacting And Working With Your Spirit Guides
What I have experienced Sea Devils my personal meditations and reading for others is there are very high guides who have never been on earth and are pure energy. They're the ones most concerned with soul growth and know that everything happens for net webhosting reason, so they let us make the mistakes and flounder along. When we connect with them through meditation they do offer higher guidance, always associated with soul growth. There are also spirits/ghosts of those who have crossed over and act as guides to help us out while they learn something or complete something for themselves in the process before they're reincarnated.
Also, lower guides come and go, but the higher ones are always the same in our lives. There aren't many of them and they watch over us kind of like flocks of sheep. When you're born you're appointed a very high guide that stays with cheap, reliable website hosting like a parent. The "lower" guides usually stick around while you're going through something new in your life and during trying times.
When we're open to their help they very often send coincidences and synchronicity as a way to let you know something will be coming up; either an opportunity or beneficial event. It's also their way of saying, "We're here in your life! You're on the right path! Something new is coming up!"
Getting in touch with your own spirit guides doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming. I think many books and metaphysics teachers try to take something very simple and natural, and make it seem so hard or out of reach that many people give up, thinking they don't have a psychic bone in their body. Nonsense! All it takes is faith, dedication, and a little bit of your time. A very little bit!
All you need to do is spend five minutes (or more if you'd like) in the morning and/or evening doing this meditation exercise. Don't let the thought of meditation burden you in any way. It doesn't take hours of practice or a thought-free mind to meditate. In fact, I prefer to think of the way I meditate as "active" meditation rather than passive. There's no way I can sit somewhere and just allow my mind to go blank. It's natural to have dozens of thoughts whizzing through your mind, and trying to shut this off creates more stress we don't need in our lives. Following a psychic path should bring you peace and focus, not anxiety and frustration!
To begin the exercise, go somewhere quiet and allow yourself to relax. Many people choose their bedroom. You can sit or lay down. I prefer to sit up rather than lying down purchase structured settlement it's easy to fall asleep! The best way to relax is to perform a body scan. Close your eyes and focus on your feet, consciously relaxing them. Now move up to your calves and thighs, relaxing the muscles there. Do this for every part of your body, all the while breathing in a peaceful manner.
If I'm really uptight before starting this exercise I usually inhale a deep, slow breath through my nose, hold for the count of five then let it out slowly through my mouth. (Imagine blowing on a spoonful of hot soup to get an idea of how to exhale during this exercise.) Do this a few times until you start to loosen up. Slow, deep breathing is always an excellent way to let go of stress and relax a bit. I do this several times during the day, especially when I'm concentrating on something or very busy. Have you ever noticed how much you hold your breath while doing something mentally intense?
When you feel relaxed, imagine a bubble of white or gold light surrounding you. Only goodness and soul lessons can come through this protective circle sent by your higher guide. You are safe at all times within your bubble. You can also imagine the protective light around anyone you love. (I always do this when my daughters go out for the evening.) Whenever you feel off balance or bad in any way, imagine your protective sphere all around you and Who Can Use Viagra this feeling of complete relaxation. You can always tell you've been "psychically attacked" when you've been around someone and you feel drained or agitated after being near them. These people actually siphon positive energy away from you in order to recharge themselves. They're usually unaware of doing it. If there's someone in your life who's a "psychic vampire" it's good to avoid them as much as possible. Any time you're required to be around them, be certain to surround yourself with this protective bubble. Once you get back home, do the aura cleansing exercise mentioned earlier. I had two husbands who were psychic vampires, though I didn't realize it at the time. Even if they were silent when around me, I would feel totally drained, and either hyper-sensitive or downright angry after being in their company. When away from them I felt perfectly fine.
You can repeat this affirmation to yourself as you do the meditation: "I am safe at all times within my protective circle of light. Good things come to me daily because I deserve love, success, prosperity, happiness and health."
After you've done this, and still have your eyes closed, allow any pictures, scenes, words, feelings, numbers, or anything else to come through. End the meditation when you feel you should. Perhaps you start getting restless or nothing else pops into your mind. After doing this meditation a few times you'll know when it's time to end it. Never pressure yourself. Nothing creates a bigger obstacle on your psychic and spiritual path than trying too hard. This path is and should be considered normal, just as breathing and eating are, so don't expect too much at once and don't push yourself too hard. All talents take time to build, even if they're inherent.
Another way to do this meditation is by asking a question you'd like an answer to or guidance on and see what images or messages your guides send through. You can say this out loud or in your mind. I usually just say it mentally since talking out loud seems to jolt me back out of my meditative state.
If you'd like to meet your guides and get information about them, visualize a setting you find comforting. I imagine a giant meadow filled with flowers, trees lining the edges of the meadow, the sky a clear blue with some fluffy clouds passing by, and a beautiful wrought iron bench in the middle of it all. Some people imagine a room, and one man I know imagines a hospital since this represents a healing place to him. Once you have created your special "meeting place" ask your guide to come visit you. Imagine your guide standing before you; he/she will appear as they wish you to see them. Sit together on the bench.
Ask your guide his/her name. With your highest guide, their name may simply be a feeling you receive, or something hard to pronounce. Very high guides are pure energy and haven't been on earth, so names aren't important to them. If a guide doesn't have a name, or you can't get it, simply give your guide a name and ask if they're okay with you calling him/her this. I called mine "Bob" for a very long time.
Ask your guide anything you'd like, but try to keep things simple and only try to get answers to something you truly need help with at this time. Bombarding your guide will create a shift in energy and have you coming out of the meditation, or you may receive answers that make no sense. This is because there's too much information going back and forth at once. Keep things simple! It's best to work on one thing at a time, once that one path is going better, work on something else. Although you can work on up to three or more problems or situations at a time, it's best to keep it as easy as possible in the beginning.
Your guide may use mental telepathy and you will just "know" what he/she has said to you, or you may hear your guide speak, or your could receive symbols or scenes from your guides. When I first started this type of meditation, it was really hard for me to get anything at all, so what I visualized was my guide holding a chalkboard. I would ask a question, and my guide would draw a simple object, or write a one word answer. Yes/No is the easiest to receive, but you could receive a word that seems puzzling. Say for example you ask your guide whether or not you should take a certain job and the symbol or word you receive is "apple." Thank your guide and look this up in a dream dictionary after you're finished with the meditation. You may find some interesting information this way!
When you've received the information you need, or feel the meeting is over with for now, thank your guide for visiting you, count to ten as you imagine yourself or your guide walking away, and slowly open your eyes, coming out of the meditation.
When you're done, make notes of what you received from your guide, circling anything that looks promising. I can guarantee the more you practice this, the more Spirit can come through to guide you and offer the answers you're looking for. Although I truly enjoy reading for my clients, it's so much more meaningful when we can get the information from our guides ourselves.
I want to say that all guides are positive and helpful. If anything negative comes through or you hear bad or negative advice, simply come out of the meditation and try again. Sometimes your own fears or ego can get in the way, or you may pick up on a negative spirit. Don't worry though, they cannot hurt you. It's our fear that scares us more than anything! Simply send the negative spirit away, imagining it walking through an open door in your mind and you closing it tightly and locking it. That should take care of any pesky spirits trying to cause problems.
Also, many times we aren't ready to hear what our guides have to say or simply don't like what they have to say! Please try to remain open to their good willed advice. For example, say you're trying to do better financially and you ask your guides for help. You're expecting a windfall or some lottery numbers, but your guide shows you a scene where you bought a new purse or a set of spinning rims for your car. They're trying to show you how you can do better financially-by not spending money on things you don't need! But that's something most people don't want to hear. If you can accept their help and put aside the ego or denial, you'll see they have some solid, down-to-earth advice that can help you.
